49 Matlock Street was delivered as a comprehensive Design and Construct commission.
In a unique approach, Grey Goose collaborated closely with Premier Projects, the architect, to authentically realise the French Provincial design. Grey Goose's involvement was pivotal, particularly in documenting intricate façade details—including window designs and mouldings—and in designing the mansard roof, ensuring every element was proportionally accurate and true to the architectural style. To complete the home, Andrew Renn designed the landscaping, and Grey Goose completed the interiors package.
The French Château-inspired residence is situated within walking distance to the heritage Maling Road shops, leafy parks, and esteemed educational institutions in one of Melbourne's most prestigious suburbs. Every facet of the 64sq home reflects meticulous craftsmanship, from the slate roofing and European oak parquetry to the 11-foot ceilings and custom 2pac joinery.
The residence comprises five luxurious bedrooms, each with its own walk-in robe, including a master suite with a private retreat. Additional spaces include a library, formal and informal living areas, a home theatre, and a children's retreat. The gourmet kitchen is equipped with Miele appliances, complemented by a butler's kitchen and a wine cellar.
Externally, the property boasts an alfresco terrace with an outdoor kitchen, BBQ, stove, sink, and beer tap, set amidst a bluestone courtyard with a heated Lap Pool and spa.
